Baby got the hiccups!!

Happy Halloween!! Ryan and I had a great Pumpkin day. We made some yummy pumpkin cookies and even tried a pumpkin pasta.. The pasta was ok, but not something we plan to make again. We stayed in and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. We had a good crowd. I'm sharing some of our pictures with you. We had fun carving pumpkins on Sunday and Ryan got lots of compliments on his Pumpkin eating a pumpkin carving.

As I was posting the pictures to our album, I started to feel the baby moving. Then I started noticing a clear rhythm. Baby got the hiccups, even Ryan could feel them!! I had heard about feeling hiccups but didn't think it would be something I could tell, but I'm sure that is what it was.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!! Ryan and I are already gearing up for next year!!

Ryan felt the baby kick!!

I have been feeling it for a couple of weeks now more and more. Last night I had joked that the baby was awake and had him put his hand on my stomach and sure enough the baby kicked hard enough for him to feel.

We completed 23 weeks so far…
Lanugo (baby hair) now covers the fetus’s entire body. The fetus is beginning to have the look of a newborn infant as the skin becomes less transparent while fat begins to develop. All the components of the eyes are developed. The liver and pancreas are working hard to develop completely. The fetus has reached about 10-11 inches in length and weighs about 1 - 1 ¼ lbs.

Next Dr appointment is November 7th.

21 Week Check-in.

Baby Dunn had another healthy check up this month. The Ultrasound Technician was very nice and showed us everything there was to see. We got to see the brain, face outline, bladder, kidneys, heart (including a view of all 4 chambers at once), hand, legs, feet and toes!

I felt the baby move last week. It was very brief and very gentle. It will be a few more weeks before Ryan will feel the kicks. Grandma Litton bought us a heartbeat microphone to listen to the heartbeats, but right now all we can hear is the baby moving around. Hopefully in a month we will be able to make out the heartbeat better when the baby has less room to move.

Here is baby’s profile…

Here is baby’s foot. Baby was actually kicking a lot during this picture so it’s a little fuzzy, but the other lighter circle behind it is the other foot that was kicking around.

By now the eyebrows and eyelashes grow in and tiny nails have begun to grow on the fingers and toes!! The bad news is that since everything is going so smoothly… the Dr. does not have a reason to do any more ultrasounds. (so maybe I can talk Ryan into going to one of those 4D places to see another sneak peak).

Oh.. and I finally got my new laptop this week so I can finally finish my Alaska pictures.
