Wanna hear the baby's heartbeat???

Today was Baby Dunn's 16 week doctor's appointment. Everything is going smoothly and we scheduled the next ultrasound (and possibly last if everything keeps looking good) for October 10th. We were able to record a clipping of the baby's heartbeat to keep in the scrapbook and share with everyone.

Next milestone will be to feel the baby moving. It could happen anytime from 2 - 7 weeks (usually later for 1st time pregnancy's).

We got back from Alaska on Sunday. It was awesome and very relaxing. Even though Ryan and I were the minority (since the average age on the cruise was probably 70.. ) I would highly recommend it. Ryan and I went crazy taking pictures and we are still working on getting it down to a reasonable number of "keeper" pictures. I'll post some when we've narrowed it down.

We saw pretty much everything.. Just didn't always have the camera ready... Humpback whales, Orca's, Moose, Sea Otters, Seals, Porpois, Salmon, one Bear very far away and lots of Bald Eagles!! We also saw lots of other animals at a wildlife preserve maintained by Steve Kroshel, who films wildlife for PBS and the Discovery Channel.

It's about time you guys got home! I missed Monical's! Not to mention updates on the Dunn Bunn in the Oven. HA! Sounds like a great trip and glad you handled the high seas well. The trip might even lend itself to baby names . . . . like . . . . Beary. HA! Jackson or Jackie are my votes!

Cousin Ryan,
Your mom sent me this link so I thought that I should check it out. What an amazing job! If you can't quite figure out who I am, I am your Aunt Joyce's daughter Machelle. I live in northern Minnesota (Bemidji). I wanted to extend my congradulations to you and your wife on your upcoming arrival. It's a very exciting time, cherish it as much as you can. We are expecting our 2nd grandchild anyday now. It was due on the 11th. We still don't know what the kids are having, they too don't want to know until it arrives. The last time I saw you was in 1984 when we came to visit over the Easter weekend from Oklahoma. Your folks live in O'Fallon and I still have a picture of you and my first born, Kaija, playing at the piano. She was just two years then. I can't believe how much time has changed. I still remember changing your diapers, cleaning the chocolate off you after you laid in it to hide it from everyone. Now you are a tall handsome man. You look so much like your dad when he was your age. I also looked at your wedding album and your wife is absolutely beautiful. You have truly been blessed and it feels my heart to know how well life has turned out for you.
God bless. I will keep looking forward to your blogs.
Your loving cousin,
Machelle
